Shattered Minds

A world within is where I reside.

A world of souls consumes me inside.

Each one different, but part of me,

A puzzle to be solved is the key.

Sara and Amber live daily life;

Sara is logical, Amber’s emotions are alive.

Lots of littles in a secret place;

You can see their pain on their face.

Rae, the protector, strong and true;

Many are writers, with a creative view.

Lots of warriors, fierce and bold;

Each their own, a story untold.

Memories shattered like broken glass,

Gaps in time frequently pass.

Personalities shift, like the wind,

to leave them behind would be a sin.

I am in search of a key,

to let each one be.

We work as a team living this life,

as a team we navigate our internal strife.

But for now, we exist with our own pain;

Trying to heal the fragmented remains.

Of a fractured mind, yet still sane,

Longing to break this tangled chain.
