This poem is an expression of anger within, that I have never let myself feel before.

A fire within,

rages and burns.

It threatens to consume me,

with every direction it turns.

Shame is the fuel,

for this endless torch.

I want to run away,

from this painful scorch.

Fear is the wind,

that spreads this blaze,

Like a thunderous storm,

and the lightning that it displays.

Threatening to release,

the lion’s roar.

From the innocent cub,

who’s never raged before.

The eyes of God,

judges with his gaze.

Damning me to hell,

in the eternal blaze.

  1. Kelly, I am so glad you expressed your anger and rage, it is good not to let it fester inside of you. Xoxo
