Tuolumne’s River of God
Sitting by the river flowing,
I feel God’s presence here.
Granite peaks touch the sky,
As his love wipes away my tears.
Its gentle pace soothes
my fearful and anxious heart.
As I leave the world behind,
God has been with me from the start.
Sunbeams reflect brightly
from a secure foundation.
The wildflowers that never die
erase all the world’s condemnation.
The river’s flow comforts my soul.
It whispers God’s truths.
An unconditional love that never ends,
It’s a voice that soothes.
It’s a love that loves me for who I am,
not for who they say I should be.
In this serene and peaceful place,
God sets my heart free.
