You created me to mirror you,
an image crafted by grace.
A divine design of uniqueness,
you imprinted on my face.
Like a rainbow with many colors,
each part of me is a work of art.
My sexuality, one part of the whole,
you knew everything from the start.
In your eyes, I see pride.
For whom you created me to be.
Like us all, I was created for your glory,
if only others didn’t hurt what they see in me.
After all, it is not I who they are hurting,
It’s a reflection of you, as with each of us.
The judgments of who I am,
With you, they need to discuss.
Unlike many who you created gay,
I don’t seek pride; I seek acceptance.
For in loving me for who you created me to be,
On you, they will seek their own dependence.
Being gay is only a fraction of who you created,
there is so much more to me.
Others are so focused on just one part,
divinely one reflection of you, the world disagrees.
What will it take for the world to have peace?
For we are all uniquely created by you.
We all are part of a bigger plan,
that from the very beginning, you knew.
For your children to come together as one family,
and a world that’s not so divided.
To glorify you as one whole,
as children of God united.
