What do you wish you could do more every day?
I wish I could spend more time writing every day. I’m in the middle of working on a memoir, and when I finally drop into that deep, focused place, everything else fades out.
The problem is that my eyes start burning and drying out way before my mind is ready to stop, so it feels like I get yanked out of the story just when it’s getting clear.
Lately I’ve been experimenting with ways around that, like learning how to type without looking at the screen and asking Copilot how to set up dictation and a good screen reader on my computer.
My hope is that if I can close my eyes while I type and have the computer read things back to me, I’ll be able to stay with the memoir work longer instead of stopping just because my body tapped out first.
More than anything, I wish I could follow the writing as far as it wants to go on a given day, instead of having my sessions cut short by eye pain.
