Racing Mind
As night draws near,
my mind won’t give me any peace.
Like a restless runner, it races on.
my thoughts never decease.Thoughts sprint and dash,
a never-ending cycle.
It keeps me from slumber,
sometimes my thoughts can be frightful. The bed is my safe haven,
but it’s hard to reach.
To share my thoughts outloud,
I would not know how to explain each.As worries and fears take me prisoner,
I long for an escape.
I try to let them go just for now,
It’s like a never-ending audiotape.night after night, this is the pattern.
the clock ticks on and on.
While everyone else is asleep,
My sense of peace is gone.Doctors have no answers,
I had tried it all.
I have to accept this life,
My options have hit a brick wall.Connor

Thanks so much! We kinda have been stealing all the time from Morgan towards writing her book with all of our poetry. I feel bad about that, lol. Morgan says she wishes WordPress would let her share what she has written so far, but unless WordPress lets you post a link or a file, I don’t think she can. Anyway, thanks for liking my poem.
