How do you express your gratitude?

I am not good with words out loud or face to face, but I express my gratitude in writing. Mostly in the form of poetry, but sometimes just a letter. I have always been better at writing, than I am speaking. Most of my friends, well, in fact, all of my friends are online and I know to all of them, I must seem very social. On the contrary, I spend most of my time inside, writing. I also have a speech problem since I had my stroke, but nobody only even knows that. I write out everything. I write out my prayers to God. If I were to use my voice to pray, my prayers would be like 30 seconds long, but when I write to God, I sometimes spend a good 30 minutes writing.

I finally am pursuing what I have always dreamed for my life. Writing. But when I am grateful for someone, or grateful for things happening in my life, I write. That’s the only true way I know how to express my feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and dreams.

  1. I like to write gratitude lists. It helps me to see that there is a lot in my life that I am grateful for! ❤

    1. Yeah, that’s something we have just been starting to do and it’s helping a lot to get out of the mucky feeling at times.
