I wish I could sleep like others can. I fight sleep so much. I wish our bodies didn’t need to sleep. ADHD can be a challenge sometimes. My mind can’t focus on one thing for more than 5 minutes, which results in racing and chaotic thoughts and feelings. I really need to find a workbook for adults with ADHD. I think that would be helpful. But I am trying to do a lot of reading about God and being gay for my memoir so can’t have too many things to read at once. Although with my tendency to do multiple things at once, maybe it would be possible.
I am remembering a lot more of my childhood, and it is becoming very overwhelming. It’s hard to deal with new memories. Sometimes it just knocks you down. I know I write a lot about my issues with being gay and Christian and my struggles with that, but you have to understand that I was brought up in a conservative Christian home and the beliefs were brainwashed into my head like implants. Breaking free from something that became a part of your reality is very hard to do.
That’s what my memoir is about. Taking the reader along with me on my healing journey. I don’t claim to be quite there yet, but writing this story is my healing journey. And my poetry are expressions of my pain and struggle. Well, most of them.
I don’t have many subscribers to my blog and don’t get a lot of comments, but I am hoping in time that will change. I would love to make some blogging friends. Anyway, these were just some random thoughts I am having tonight. I hope you will consider becoming my blogging friend. Check out my page to see the kinds of things I write!
