Shame is my greatest enemy;

It consumes my whole being.

It has become my identity.

It’s become a perpetual feeling.

Trapped in a prison within;

Desperately longing to be free.

Lost in the chaos I am in;

I seek freedom to be me.

The loneliness and isolation,

Buries me deep within.

Shame is forever my identification.

Will I ever be free from the prison I’m in?

Shame is the reason for my formation.

Isolated and rejected by those within;

My soul is in so much pain.

These feelings are believed to be sin;

I am caught in this miserable chain.
