This quote from Kevin Ansbro really spoke to me because that is what I am striving to learn in my own life. He says, ” Focus on the ocean of positives, not the puddle of negatives.”

Naturally, I tend to think the exact opposite. I see an ocean of negatives, and only a puddle of positives. I’m a natural pessimist most of the time, always looking to where I need to be instead of looking at how far I have come.

It often takes someone else like my therapist to get me to see that I have made a lot of progress from where I used to be. She often says that healing is a process, and it takes time.

If I could learn to see what I have learned, not be so focused on what I haven’t learned, I could change that pessimistic thinking, and as a result, be more confident and content with where I am at right now.

I have known too many people that think the way I do and they are pretty unhappy people. I don’t want that to be me.

I want to turn that around to focus on an ocean of positives, not of negatives.

It will require a daily decision to choose to see the positives in my life. I have gone way too long unhappy. Now it’s time to change the way I think about things.

Do you struggle to focus on the positives? What would it take for you to change your mindset?

Here’s a beautiful quote from my Gratitude app to brighten your day 😇 https://gratefulness.page.link/yqbs
