The Black Hole

Sucked into a new dimension like a vacuum,

Suspended in time with no grounding.

This outer space of darkness clutches my heart.

Panic grips as I lose sense of my surroundings.

Like a blind person lost in the wilderness.

Not even a flicker of light like a dead flame.

No sense of direction, nothing to hold onto.

Here in this space, I don’t even have a name.

I scream out, but nobody can hear me.

In total isolation, like a cell with no light.

Losing any sense of time and place,

I refuse to give up this fight.

Where am I, and where have I gone?

My strength is fading with every moment.

But I am a warrior in a raging war,

determined to defeat my opponent.

A dim light appears but is barely visible.

A spark, a star, an answer in sight.

Like a trapped animal in a cage,

I struggle for freedom with all my might.
