A Sea of Tears

 

Like a ship lost at sea,

sinking below the surface.

Waiting, hoping, praying.

Yet nobody even knows I am lost.

Who am I?

I stare into the mirror.

A stranger’s face looks back.

My reflection is not mine,

so where did I go?

My soul is drowning as

my body still breathes.

Please someone wake me

from this nightmare I am in.

I’m lost and alone

in a sea of tears.
