My favorite cartoon character has always been the Tasmanian Devil. People see him as chaotic, impulsive, and destructive — a spinning storm of noise and motion. But underneath all of that, he’s good‑hearted, loyal, and deeply misunderstood.

I relate to him because I live with ADHD, and when my medication hasn’t kicked in, I can feel like a whirlwind myself. I get restless, unfocused, and misread. My family often sees my limitations as faults, focusing on the behavior instead of the person underneath. They see the chaos, not the intention.

Like Taz, I can be impulsive and intense, but I care deeply about others. My medication helps tame the storm for a few hours, but it doesn’t change who I am — it just makes it easier for people to see the heart beneath the chaos.That’s why Taz is my favorite. He reminds me that even when life feels messy or misunderstood, there’s still goodness at the center of it all.
