I am the guardian within,

a shield from the pain.

My protection will arise,

Safety and security, I attain.

Because of me, strong and fierce.

I stand tall and true.

The heart I protect with my life.

But everyone will have no clue.

My identity will remain hidden,

to almost everyone.

There are those that I trust,

people that don’t run.

So be aware that I can

 set rules that keep us safe.

Don’t worry, I am not scary.

But the little ones will no longer be unsafe.

I shield them with my whole being.

Shield them from the darkness,

So their healing can begin,

So, I always hold alertness.

The core of our being,

I also protect.
