This quote by Kate Forsythe, I want to break up in three parts, hopefully to bring out a smile in my readers. The quote says, “May my heart be Kind. May my mind be fierce. May my spirit be brave.”
May my Heart be Kind:
I’m a kindness expert when it comes to customers, people driving by while I am on a walk, other shoppers in grocery stores, or the stranger I held the door for.
My hearts kindness policy is simple: strangers get the royal treatment, family and friends, well that’s when I let the mask down and they get the “real” treatment. Why is it that people I love see the worst in me, and complete strangers get the best of me? Shouldn’t that be reversed?
May my Mind be Fierce:
On the same lines of the worst in me, I am a fairly calm-natured woman, but when it comes to furniture assembly, watch out, swearing and rage become my love language!
I recently had to put together a rather simple computer desk. It had all but three parts, but the directions were crappy! I mistakenly read them wrong and put a screw through the top of the desk, lol.
Oh, and I won’t even address computer problems. Those make me into a madman, lol.
May my Spirit be Brave:
I’m learning to be brave for most things, well, within the last few years or so, but something that will always cause me to hide under a desk are spiders. They are so small and tiny, but if I see one, I scream.
I once had a spider fall from my ceiling fan onto my face, my heart raced with fear and I flicked it off and then couldn’t find it in my bed. I literally had to sleep in another room because I knew for sure it would crawl on me in my sleep.
I love horror movies but I will never, ever watch arachnophobia!
Hope this brought a chuckle to someone, lol.
