What are some life hacks that you practice?

One of the most important life hacks I practice is relying on technology to compensate for memory issues caused by several strokes and brain surgery years ago. My memory has continued to decline over time, and without reminders, even basic daily tasks can slip my mind. Things many people do automatically, such as brushing my teeth, taking medication, or remembering appointments, often require prompts from my Alexa devices. What might seem like simple reminders to others are essential tools that help me navigate each day.

Living with memory challenges creates a great deal of stress and anxiety, but these reminders give me a sense of structure and control. They allow me to stay productive, maintain my independence, and live a relatively normal life. Sometimes I wonder what would happen without them, and I fear I would struggle to function as an independent adult. For me, this life hack is much more than a convenience. It is a lifeline that helps me continue living life to the fullest despite the challenges I face.
