My thoughts scatter like fall leaves.
Like a deflating balloon in the sky,
they slip through my fingers like sand;
they neither live or die.
Emotions spill like milk;
a kaleidoscope of shades.
Each shape, each pattern
is a stain that refuses to fade.
Like traveling without a map,
I have no direction or light to light the way.
I keep circling around the same street,
never finding a place to stay.
My mind is a ship lost at sea.
My heart tightens like a noose.
Desperately clinging on by a thread,
afraid to lose.
